Early Head Start - Overview
The
Early Head Start project strives to provide the same
type of programs and services that Head Start
provides, but to expectant parents and families with
infants and toddlers through age 3 rather than to
older children. Early Head Start provides
comprehensive education, medical and dental
services, mental health services, nutrition, social
services, full inclusion of young children with
disabilities and parent involvement services to
low-income children and their families.
CFCS began offering Early Head Start in 1996.
Today, the CFCS Early Head Start program serves 125
infants and toddlers throughout the south county
area.
